Self Service is a wonderful tool that allows anyone to easily install software, run maintenance or perform other tasks — all without requiring an Admin password! If you're a Forget Computers client or Robot Cloud subscriber you'll find Self Service in the Applications folder of your managed Mac. It's also accessible from SupportMenu. Launch Self Service to explore new software and updates available to install — at your convenience.
If you'd like to take advantage of the benefits of Self Service but can't find this application on your Mac, contact your Support Desk for assistance.
Where To Find Self Service
Customized For Your Mac
Self Service is customized for your Mac so only the updates, applications and maintenance routines authorized for your Mac will appear in Self Service. Authentication is NOT required, so even non-administrators can install software. Simply click on an icon to learn more and install.
NOTE: Each Mac will only display Actions that are authorized for a particular computer or location, so your Self Service may differ in appearance from the example screenshot above.
You're In Control
With Self Service, you can choose when you want to install Software Updates, Common Applications or even Run Maintenance. Self Service is available as part of our Forget Computers and Robot Cloud services. If you don't have Self Service but would like to try it out, give us a call.
