Reset Time Machine Last Backup Date
When viewing Macs in Dashboard you may notice that the last backup date for Time Machine is several days, weeks, months, or even years old. If Time Machine is in use then this is a serious problem.
However, in many cases, Time Machine is not even active on the Mac in question. If this is the case, then Time Machine was turned on at some point during the life of this Mac and we simply need to reset Time Machine to eliminate this warning.
Stop Time Machine
Launch Self Service and run the Stop Time Machine Action.
The next time the Mac sends inventory data to Robot Cloud (this happens once per day) and Dashboard scrapes Robot Cloud for updates (this occurs every hour) you'll see that Time Machine is not enabled and has never run. Yeah!
