Set Outlook for Mac as default email application
Because Apple Mail is required to set Outlook as the default email application (and not everyone runs Mail), we’ve added a new Action to automagically set Outlook (Office 2016) as the default email application.
It’s now live in Self Service (screenshot below) or can be triggered via CLI with the following command (see the full list of Robot Cloud command line triggers):
sudo jamf policy -event outlookdefault
Note: This is a user-level setting. The Action will need to run from the user account. If it’s run from another account (or remotely with no user logged in), it will have no affect and report an error in the policy log.
